Frequently Asked Questions:

How many people can you accommodate?

We have 15 acres to work with, so that can accommodate many guests. However, we like to keep our number at 250 or less. 

 

How many people can be seated inside the house?

We can comfortably seat 50 guests.  However we can go up to 75 with a tighter squeeze, and a little maneuvering. 

 

What are the rules about the use of the house?

The house is open to the bride, groom and wedding party to get ready.  All guests should remain using the outdoor space for the ceremony/reception unless approved by Cross Key Acres.

 

Do you allow outside vendors/catering?

We have a list of approved vendors (please ask).  We also have a list of preferred vendors that work with us to give YOU the best deal.

 

Do you allow alcohol?

Yes, but you must use one of our TABC certified bartenders. If your caterer has a TABC bartender, and a license to serve, you may also show us proof of their liability and we will likely allow it. 

 

What about security?

Each package/facility rental includes security officers.  You may not provide your own security.

 

Do you include the tables and chairs for the ceremony and reception?

We have white ceremony chairs for 200 guests, and 200 chavari chairs at the current time (see website for sample). We are constantly growing our inventory though, so please ask. We also have enough 60’ round tables for 250 guests, and 15 rectangle tables to be used for catering or DJ if needed. You may rent chairs or tables if you prefer.  We will set up and break down tables and chairs for you.

Do you supply the linens?

On our facility rental only packages, we do not. If you get one of our more inclusive packages, we work with a linen supplier for you to choose your desired linens.

 

Can we have extra hours to come early and decorate?

Each package allows for some set up, and clean up time. Any additional time not included in the package can be added for $100.00 per hour.

 

Who will clean up?

Clean up should be arranged by you. You will have 1 hour after the reception is concluded to remove your personal belongings, decorations, flowers, etc.  If you use our linen company, they will require whomever you designate to bag the linens for pick up the next day.  If you go over the hour, you will be billed $100.00 in 1 hour increments for additional time.  

 

Is there a sound system on the property?

At the current time, there is not.  This would have to be provided by your DJ, or band.  

 

What about parking?

We have enough parking to accommodate 300 guests, we include valet service with all packages of 100 guests or more. 

 

What about hanging decorations from trees, fences, and walls?

We are happy to work with you on your décor. However, we must approve any nails, staples, heavy-duty tape, or the like.  In essence, anything that will not cause permanent damage is likely to be approved. 

 

Do you allow sparklers, bubbles, and birdseed for the departure?

Yes, we allow 2 of the  above, no birdseed.   We do also allow rose petals, but you are responsible for the pick up of each and every petal during the clean-up phase. We do not allow confetti, or glitter, or anything that cannot be clean up before our next event.
